Gibbs teams played in the most brutal division in football for over a decade going up against the Cowboys, Eagles, and Giants when all those teams were great. Walsh's Niners played in the pathatic NFC West with mediocre Rams and bad Falcons and Saints teams. Gibbs won Super Bowls with *three* different QBs - two of whom were marginal at best (Doug Williams and Mark Rypien). Walsh had one QB - arguably the best ever - at that position for a decade. Gibbs was just as much of an innovator as Walsh. While Walsh gave us the West Coast offense, Gibbs made the counter-trey, three WR set a standard that nearly ever team utilizes to some extent today.
