Just to add, there would still be an 18 game regular season.
East(4)  3x each = (9) + 1x7 (7) non-div. + 2x1 (2) non-div. = 18 games
Central(4) 3x each = (9) + 1x7 (7) non-div. + 2x1 (2) non-div. = 18 games
West(4) 3x each = (9) + 1x7 (7) non-div. + 2x1 (2) non-div. = 18 games

I don't agree that there needs to be three divisions. If we are going to create interest lets stick with what works- East-West. Our countries psyche is very east- west oriented I have never met a Canadian who said they live in Central Canada. (Maybe this is something that happens in Winnipeg) Why all the confusion? 10 teams = 9X2each=18=simple. What is wrong with this set up?

I know in advance the response is something like- oh it creates rivalry blah blah blah but what is rivalry?- hell being an Esk fan I'd rather play Montreal 3X/yr than BC. No slight against BC but there has never been any rivalry. I prefer real rivalries to contrived ones. To me  using an NHL example getting your team to play Columbus Blue Jackets 6X/yr hoping a rivalry develops is retarded. How about we play the Canadian teams more?

I would detest only being able to play Montreal once/yr and only see them at home maybe every 2nd yr. I expecially buy tickets to see Montreal in town each year because thats usually the best game of the year. Some Montreal fans maybe feel the same way about the Esks coming to town.

IMO in a small league it is important to create as much variety as possible for the fans by allowing them to see all the other teams as much as possible-your plan does not allow that.
