I am trying to dig up some trivia, on clubs supersitions >curses and results (world wide.) >I'm not sure if it was collingwood (but I'm sure it was)... >Any help would be appreciated.. > I believe it was part of the Nicky Winmar incident, (when he lifted his St.Kilda jumper up during a game to point his skin out to the racist Collingwood supporters who had been abusing him that day), where the then Collingwood President McAllister (sp?) made some stupid racist comment after it happened and then had to later grovel and back-pedal to make up for his mistake. I seem to remember a local Koori elder "pointing the bone" at the club before some sort of deal was done with the apology and it was somehow "withdrawn". Of course, there still is the story about how Collingwood apparently chopped down some sacred Koori trees to build their Social Club building at Victoria Park in the late 1950's, and the subsequent "curse" for that action has only seen them win ONE Grand Final in about 10 attempts since that time.......
