Re: Big Ten's 2004

Allow me to tell you about Big Ten's 2003 and 2002. They can't buy a good
weekend of weather. Two years ago was cold and blustery and Wisconsin
traveled to that shit only to play Illinois. It was cold and it sucked.
It's funny how competitive everyone is when you're fighting to stave off
hypothermia.
Then last year, the weather actually got worse. After a lopsided and
painful assbeat delivered to Notre Dame in the quarterfinals, half the
Hodags retreated to cars to try to smoke the cold out. We played semis
against Iowa in a game where everyone felt like they were running on numb
stumps, and throwing with numb stumps. Most were too high to realize the
pain they were in, myself included. Drizzly rainy windy shit weather only
to play Illinois in the finals. In a game no one other than Paradise wanted
to play, we spotted Illinois 6 points and scored the last 7 to win on double
game point. The tournament is as well run as you can run a tourney played
in an icebox with shitty teams. Illinois and Wisconsin did go to natties,
and Iowa got close, but where was everyone else at the tourney. This is a
great mid-level competition tourney for teams that want to put hair on their
fucking chests- or lose a toe to frostbite. However, i don't think the
'dags are going and Illinois themselves would probably rather be playing in
a warmer place.
