Its hard to compare spectators to players sticking around to watch finals at Nationals. In my 10+ trips to nationals I've watched maybe 6 finals. It's not that I don't enjoy watching the sport. By Sunday your tired. You've spent the better part of the last 6 months training. If your tournaments done you start to think about the trip home and the dread associated with going to work the next day. Watching a game you had hoped to be playing just isn't that much fun. Had I not just played 6 or 7 high caliber games I would not miss finals.
