Had this recent experience. I'm cutting. Defender's strategy was to stay on my heels, i'd cut hard in, the moment i planted to change direction and cut away he'd put his arms into my back. If i cut hard away to set up the in cut (or even change directions hard to the other cone) he'd do the same thing. Guy was not to be reasoned with. When i decided to start pushing off too, he immediately and loudly called foul. Here's the problem: The rules don't seem to provide any sanction for this sort of behavior. I can call foul, we get a check but the stall count stays the same anyway, right? So no they're all checked up and we have less time to get a throw off. Shouldn't the O get the stall count reset if it's not contested? Is this already in the rules and i can't find it? As i understand it, it's probably best not to even call the foul under these circumstances. Anyone have any strategies for dealing with this (other than explaining the rules to the guy -- he wouldn't have it, and we don't have the luxury of playing with observers)?
