You are probably some naval airbase officer trying > to make this post more ill-favored. OK, here is my take - as am ultimate player and CPA focused in taxation. Your post documents some of the law written around taxation in the United States and the jurisdiction of Treasury. I didn't take the time to check out the website - or even read your entire post... What would be really helpful would be if you could identify a case - say in the last 25 years - where a taxpayer actually avoided paying taxes by prevailing in court using the arguments above. My focus is on the corporate side of the taxation, but I suspect that no individual has gone beyond a district court (even in Liberal MN) and avoided taxation on any of these points. It may be interesting for you to take a look at cases where an individual has lost and what penalties are imposed on those who don't pay their taxes - these can easily amount to more than the original taxes themselves. I suggest you have the person behind this website prepare your return and agree in writing that he/she will defend this for you at no charge, and indemnify you for any penalties... > > 4) You don't have to comment on this at all, it's one of the freedoms > you have so why don't you use it instead of bringing down a perfectly > lawful question? Corey has the right to use this forum to question your question, just as you have the right to pose the question - great world, you are both right. > > 5) What better way to protest the war than to get away with not paying > Federal taxes? That was my original thought. Next time be a little > more kind to a fellow human instead of getting up in arms over > examining knowledge. I wasn't aware that there was a "special" bucket for war taxes.? By "getting away" with it, wouldn't you be getting away with not paying for education or any other public service you may deem valuable? > > > > Fetch-CA > -PEACE IS PATRIOTIC agreed, many things are patriotic-even protesting the protestors may be. depends on your point of view. my experience is that those who are outspoken about such political dogma are always correct - no matter what issue is at hand - kind of like you and Corey and this thread.
