i think you're looking at this the wrong way. no one has the kind of
dedication to a sport that makes it really truly popular because they
find the sport compelling in every aspect. that's unrealistic.
baseball, compared to, say, soccer is the most boring thing on the
planet. soccer can get tiresome at times, but it is popular because a
billion people in the world are crazy about it. trying to tweak
ultimate will not cause execs at espn to shout "hell, they got rid of
that stupid, awful zone d, let's put ultimate in the rotation guys."
that's just unrealistic.
