Since my freshman year, I've been planning on setting-up at least one ultimate scholarship for a women's player at my college, and maybe one for the men's too, if I can (once I finish myself and get settled in a career to pay for it.) It'd be just like any other academic scholarship for disadvantaged students, except with a clause about playing ultimate and demonstrating good spirit. I think it's one of the best ways to promote ultimate at my school and help our program considering that, besides the obvious benefit of attracting players with some high school experience, it would also help young players get their higher education. In my eyes, as long as it promotes something worthwhile, any scholarship is a good scholarship. -J9 (Other goals I have in mind to encourage ultimate are coaching a high school team and opening my own ultimate summer camp, for starters...)
