But he's never really had much of a chance to shine through for a number of reasons. Make-up of various teams he's had the chance to be in have often left a less than adequate spot open for him and he's managed to be injured in the middle of a run of good form or a little out of form just as he's given the chance to prove himself at a decent level (which he gets very few goes at because there's not -really- a spot open for a player of his type in the sides he's played for). Had he moved interstate a few years back, he might be pushing for national selection. As it is, he's no where near contention and fair enough. Because he's hardly ever shown that he should be.
