Some of the bowling at the end wasn't, er, especially challenging, as
Pakistan unfurled an array of bizarre spinners. One bloke delivered one
which bounced about a third of the way down the pitch and would have bounced
twice had Marshall played it off the back foot. Then there was the geezer
who bowled a string of no-balls in the final over off about two paces,
including one where his front foot landed about 18 inches over the line.

Had NZ been serious about chasing the runs they wouldn't have let Harris get
anywhere the batting crease. Early in his innings I was convinced he was
caught low down by Sami in the covers, but the fieldsman indicated he wasn't
sure and the umpires didn't refer it. I was of course imploring the umpire
to put his finger up.

Shoaib bowled one proper spell of four overs at the start; his mid-innings
spell of three overs consisted mainly of balls delivered at between 105 and
130kph, then he didn't bother coming back for a final tilt. Probably a good
thing as the sun was setting by that time.
