Well, record numbers have flocked in in a concerted attempt to shut me
up, but it looks like a pretty ugly and motley crew so I can't see too
many problems. Still time for more mugs...er entrants though.

If you can be bothered to post the rules in text to rsc, this mug may
join. Your link requires me to load more MS stuff, which I won't.

Don't blame you. The site's a bastard child of something else I'm trying to do.

And I bothered to post the usual rules in the original thread of 28/11.

"Despite the plethora of cheap & nasty imitation TC's bobbing around at the moment I promised that the Famous & Original Cheap & Nasty Uncle Alvey's TC will again be offered for the upcoming Oz v Corruptindians Test-fest. It's plain, it's simple and it's loads of fun, sex, drugs and crack & trolls.

All you gotta do is pick two players from each team for each Test who score points in the traditional manner;

1 per run
10 per catch or stumping
20 per wicket
10 per direct hit run-out (or 5 points per fielder if there's more than one involved)

The big difference is, and *please read this next bit carefully*, you have to nominate which team scores points as positive and which scores them as negative. ie. A tipping genius like myself may pick for T1;

    Aust: (positive) Hayden & Gillespie
    India (negative) Aggie & Kumble

Hypothetical example: Aust would declare at stumps on D2 @ 6/2,000 with Hayden unbeaten on 1,200 (Gilclang 600*, Ponting 200, Katich & SRW both golden ducks). And with Aggie & Kumble taking a wicket each. Gillespie then takes 7/47 (inc one c & b) in the Indian 1st inn in which Aggie gets a duck (gasp!) and Kumble snicks 8 through two easy chances to SRW in the gully.

So, after the first inninngs of the match my points calculation would be;

Hayden + Gillespie - Aggie - Kumble
1,200 + 150 - 20 - 28 = a shitload.

It's easy to follow, but difficult to win due to the annoying ability to score big negative points, although I'd modestly point out that I've actually won the last two. And I didn't even run one of 'em!

Also. as this is an Australian TC, sledging is allowed. In fact positively encouraged. Although obvious racist abuse like; "What would you know? You're a fucking Victorian." Will ot be aloud. Probably.

Anyway, entries by ng, or if you prefer privacy, to the digit removed Sidecast mailbox.

A typical entry should look like this;

India (positive): Aggie & Zaheer (res Kapil Dev)
Aust (negative): SRW & Katich (res: Williams for SRW, Martin love for Krapich)

You may change players after each Test but if no change notification is received then you stick with your current picks.

I'll also throw in some traditional bonus point options like....30 bonus points for naming the first player to be reported...nearest the pin on grossly bad umpiring decisions or whatever takes my fancy.

And I have an Excel sheet somewhere that's available for those tragics who like to caclulate points ball by ball. Hoefully it'ssurvived the Great Crash of Just Recently.

And that's it.
Except for the usual footnote that if there's not enough interest then I won't run it. 12 punters is the min.

Yavel
IN brisbane, current rsc tipping champion."
