That's true, but except and Kandy I can't see England mowing the SL batsman down cheaply."Paul Robson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote in message news:[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Well, SL don't have Cooray and Ashocka this time. Cooray was so bad he made Ashocka look competent.
Murali does seem to have a lot to say for himself, and this is in itself rather unusual. It's also a bit Warnesque, claims about being able to bowl a ball that burrows under the stumps and hits them from the back (did any of Warne's mystery balls ever show up ?).
The contest basically reduces to can our spinners get your batters out - which given they couldn't get the Bangladesh batters out does not fill me with confidence - and can Murali get out our lefties. I agree with you that SL probably will win, but as usual the result is 90% dependent on what Murali does.
Murali can not do it alone. SL batsmen will have to score some runs too! I wonder if Mahela will play up to his potential. He has had a pretty dismal run last few years.
