Oh I did. The trouble is that the same person does not field the request each time. > Otherwise, looks like WillowTv is the only choice if you want to see > only the tests. > > How much does Willow normally charge per test ? It was costlier last year for the Kiwi tour. That time it was 69.95. The Kiwi tour of India for the two tests cost 39.95. > Also, is watching the feed on a computer fullscreen clear enough ? > Yes, it is quite clear at 350 kbps, and not too bad at the lower 265 kbps rate. Gussie's advice on routing the video signal to the TV is probably a good idea though. His setup description in rsc was useful. > People who have tried willow before, please reply. > Here's what I wrote to another interested party (edited for mature content): +++ When it is on, it is very decent. If you have a 1 Mbps connection, you are 'eligible' to play their '350 kbps stream', which is very good. Even their 260 kbps stream is not bad. Unless you hook it to your TV (I only tried), it does not replace the TV experience. So it is good in terms of quality, not great. Now for the catch. Occasionally, (when India plays in an ODI, or when Tendulkar or Sehwag is batting), there is network congestion, and you'll end up 'rebuffering' periodically, and it can get to be a nuisance for say 30-45 minutes on some occasions. The most I have lost is 45 minutes in a day because of this crap. It does not happen very often, and in the last test series, happened only a couple of times for 15 minutes or so. Why not try the test clip that is on their site? You can determine the quality for yourself (the test clip is fairly representative), and I told you about the quality of the connection. And forget trying to get support. Filled with support folk who'll ask you redundant questions, make you repeat the text of your email, and then ask you to use a different server. When you have done all of it, they'll start doing the same things again. They are polite folk though. And they have been good enough to offer a discount on the next event or give partial refunds when appropriate. +++ > Considering that DISH is waiting for the last minute to announce > this, will they get enough subscribers to make it worth their while - > hopefully they won't & then decide to broadcast it free on > Zee/TV-Asia (like the Ind-WI series). > Dalmiya probably received the request very late. -- Shripathi Kamath
