Yes, there maybe a small matter of a 250 overseas in England that the
selectors must have thought to be worth something.

It is surprising that neither Jaffer nor Gambhir go to Australia, but if one
went by comparative tour/domestic averages alone, it is hard to imagine that
Karthik or Pathan would even be in contention.   Or why Sriram, Gavaskar,
Bhandari, and Rayudu wouldn't be.

And not that Karthik appears to be setting the world on fire in the SL-A
match either.
