I had that problem with one of my Layani's. In order for the compression joint to work properly it has to be tight so I make sure it's firm. But I left this cue joined for around 3 months because I was only using it at home - the space is not heated and is sometimes humid. Took two big guys to get it apart... now I separate the joint every time I play with it and snug it up again. No problems since. David "The Hamster" Malone
