11mm is already awfully tiny (to me). I can't even conceive of a 10mm
shaft like Pat's. I'd be afraid of spearing the cue ball like the
trick ball you see in Robert Byrne's video. But it appears to be quite
strong - I've broken with it by mistake with no problem. Mind you I
don't try and kill it. I just try to be accurate.

Possibly. I guess you could confirm that by using the FAQ 'aim &
pivot' squirt test or hit balls the length of the table instead. I
still haven't got the hang of the aim & pivot thing...
