Possibly a very stupid question, or possibly one that's been answered before, if so, just point me to where it was and drop it.. or, in the case that it's a stupid question, tell me that as well, but preferrably diplomatically... ;) Anyway, as stated in another post here, I've recently purchased a Joss cue. Honestly, I couldn't tell you if it has less or more squirt than my McDermott or Viking... but... I've noticed that I've missed a lot more shots with it, by a wider margin than I did my McD or Viking. Last night, at league practice, I started trying to pay more attention. Ok, ok, should've been doing that prior, but I kept blaming my misses on not staying down, eyes moving back to the cue ball at the point of hit, etc.. etc. but, last night, I think I finally paid close enough attention that I figured it out. I was letting my stroke move around.. Meaning, that when actually striking the cue ball, the cue itself wasn't in line with where I wanted the cue ball to go. When I really concentrated on keeping a good stroke, all of a sudden, voila, I'm making shots right and left, and getting the postition I want as well. Ok, so maybe it wasn't that big of a voila, but... ;) Anyway, I'm just wondering... if the Joss say has less squirt than the McD or Viking, could it be that more squirt actually masks a bad stroke? I mean, I didn't "feel" like I was stroking the cue any differently than I had been in the past, but I was still missing shots, easy shots. So, could the McD and Viking actually have been "making up" somewhat for my lack of a good stroke? And now the Joss is "forcing" me to make a good stroke? Sorry for the rambling, just something that had me thinking was all. *shrug* -- It's not just based on number of championships won. Richard Petty won 200 races and 7 Daytona 500s in his 30+ year driving career. He also has the most top-5s (555), top-10s (712), poles (126), laps completed (307,836), laps led (52,194), races led (599) and consecutive races won (10 in 1967) of any driver in NASCAR history.
