What is interesting is that the very short races in 9ball mean that often
the results don't add up with at least my pre-conceived notions of who were
the better players.  From my observations, Roy and Thierry were the class of
the field, yet Roy barely made it into the finals.  Michael also plays much
better than his record would indicate.  My friend Geoff played badly, even
for him, yet almost beat out Roy for the second spot in the finals.  Its a
funny game.
