No disagreement there.  And if you move the CB closer to the OB along
the "line of aim", then your aiming point doesn't change either.  But,
if you move the CB directly closer to the OB, then in order to hit
that ghost ball position, your "aim point" has to change.  It is no
longer the edge of the OB.

Really, this whole confusion is because I was measuring the cut angle
differently than everybody else.  I thought a half ball hit was as
depicted in http://www.princeton.com/smalus/halfball.gif
which I guess isnt correct.    

Would you agree that what is in the diagram is not in fact a half ball
hit?
