Dan Persio suggests:
I know and have played Pete often. He's never tried to shark me once. I
agree he does play slowly, but it's not to shark you so get past it.
He's not the only slow player in the world.
(*<~ You'd feel differently if you were a TD and had to stay hours
later than needed because the entire tournament has come to a HALT due
to one slow player. In four and a half years, I've run over 200 weekly
tournaments and i know what I'm talking about.
Anyway, your solution is just not to play him. If it kills his action
(and it's important to him) then he'll stop.
(*<~ I agree.
I personally think it's funny that Pete would do something like that
all. Totally doesn't match my image of him. (I'm not commenting on the
truthfulness of what you say, just that he would do it.)
(*<~ You're right, it's funny.... at first.
BTW, if you're who I think you are, I've heard you have a tendency to
quit matches anyway.
(*<~ I don't know if I'm who I think I am, but I don't think that
you can name ANY match that I've ever quit. Feel free to point out ALL
the matches that I have a tendency to quit...
