These type of threads always bring out the nitpickity in me. For once I'll lay
off, and we can agree to have slightly difference views on the subject
(although I don't think they're all that different).

Just one final comment.

The reasons why I dislike Shaq are different from the reasons I don't want to
discuss it online. The reasons for thinking Shaq is an idiot fall into the "if
you have to ask..." category -- if you have to ask why I hate him, you
probably have very different views as to what makes a good human being than I.
There's little point in arguing over this -- your view is as valid as mine,
and we stand little chance of persuading each other.

The reasons I don't like discussing it is that I consider opinions of a
player's personality largely irrelevant. Arguing about which player is a
bigger asshole is a good way to avoid talking about substantive matters.
