That's not the same as Laker Haters. Who is a franchise player and who is
a role player is a matter of what team you're talking about. There's no
reason to expect Shaq to not respect Malone and vice-versa. There is
reason to expect the refs in Staples to someday get un-hypnotized.

I must admit though, Laker-style respect can be very funny. Kobe frying
Ginobli with a standard Ginobli move was rich. And as bad as the Lakers
crushed the Wizards, the Wizards should take the Lakers' defensive
intensity as a compliment. As in "Yeah you suck, but on the NBA scale of
things."
