I also play ball and I sometimes loose interst because of players who
dont even know that basketball was once a team sport. I think the
reason for all this is, that most kids follow professional basketball
leauges, mostly the NBA. They have their stars there and try to
pattern their game. And the whole NBA is build around single stars -
players who are "da man" on their teams, they cannot be stopped by
nobody and take most of the shots (think Kobe, TMac). Of course - real
superstars can carry an average team far into the playoffs. What most
players who just play for the fun of the game forget is, that they
don´t have the god given talent to take every shot and to dominate
like the real stars.
