ACC/Big10 Challenge equivalents?

Are any other conferences in discussions to do a similar early season
competition?

It would be very cool to do this, say with the Big12/Pac10, or the
SEC/BigEast.

Seems it could work since losses at this point in the year don't mean
much.  So, unlike football, it's fine to schedule difficult
adversaries.  In fact, it helps SOS.

Could turn the November / December basketball season into a lot of fun. 
Do the early tournaments like the Jimmy V and the Alaska Shootout. 
Follow this with the conference challenges.  Then hit conference
season, to set up March Madness.
