You are not alone in your anti-Vitale feelings.
However, it is unfair to call him an analyst,
he's a color commentator.  He's not supposed to
analyze, he is supposed to say entertaining things
while the play by play man deals with the drier
description of the game.

That's my understanding of his role, anyway.

And he suxxors at it.
