I think the best year for postseason Baseball was 1986, where the Angels came within one strike of eliminating the Red Sox only to wind up losing. Also the 1986 NLCS where Houston and the Mets had a great series, with a classic game 6. The WS was terrific also, and also had a very memorable game 6. It was one year where the four teams seemed to be evenly matched; any of the four teams could just as easily have won the Series. For a single best postseason League series I've ever seen, I would go with the 1986 NLCS. As far as the best WS I've ever seen, I'd have to go with the 1991 World Series.
