This "red zone" crap is football's equivalent to clutch hitting. While the play there is certainly important, there is no indication that it is any more a reflection of play throughout the entire field, with normal variation.


IOW, there is no reason to think that the best team in the red zone is any different than the best team on the other teams 20.
