Re: Is a tie in a major event a good thing or a bad thing?

I realize I'm requesting some off-topic stuff here, but since I don't follow either golf or college sports, can someone please fill me in on what Ubiquitous Bob is referring to here, as well as what happened in a Arkansas-Kentucky game someone referred to in a later message? In responding to me about the Arkansas-Kentucky game, please note whether it was football or basketball and also what is involved in an overtime in that college sport (number of minutes played, or number of certain types of plays attempted).

Thanks in advance.

The headline and lead sentence in a story about the golfing Presidents

his legend.

There are snippets in the article like "neither team deserved to lose
after such an extraordinary week of golf", and Tiger Woods stating
"it's the perfect decision". Was the golf really that extra-ordinary
compared to any other tournament of top stars (and old timers)? Also,
regarding the sudden death part of the competition, "it was too hard
on two individual players to carry the aspirations of nations and
teams." ?!?!?!?

So why is a draw a good and noble thing in golf, but bad in a baseball
All Star game?
