The Hall of Fame League has been running for just over 8 years and is looking for a single owner to take over a franchise. The Hall of Fame League was established in 1995 as free fantasy baseball league that allows the members to become owners, general managers, and managers of their own baseball team. The Hall of Fame League official web site is located at http://www.hofl.com/. The original 32-round Hall of Fame League draft was held in October 1995, with 16 charter members taking part. In August 1996, the Hall of Fame League expanded to 20 teams, then in 1998 to 24 teams. In 2001, the league then placed all of the players back into the pool and drafted from all teams from scratch. The league currently has 24 owners. The current league schedule is 156 games and is simulated using Diamond Mind Baseball version 8.0. Each season run is 156 games long. At the beginning of the season, the league office will issue, or make available on the web site, each team's computer-generated season schedule. The season will run from April 1st to the end of September. League championship and the World Series will be decided during the month of October. Depending on available resources, games are run on a daily basis, Monday thru Thursday, with the games scheduled of Friday, Saturday and Sunday being reported by Sunday night. A league executive will strive to issue, or make available on the web site, team statistics and league leaders at least every other week. Injuries and transactions are updated on a weekly basis. Playoffs will consist of the three division winners and a wild card team playing in the Divisional Series. Winners advance to the League Championship Series. The two pennant winners will proceed to the World Series. Home field is awarded to the team with the better record during the regular season and all playoff series are run in the 2-3-2 format. The player roster is a 25-man roster. No substitutions may be made unless a player is put on the disabled list during the playoffs. The team that would be available is the Indianapolis Indians, you can see their roster at http://www.hofl.com/majors/teams/index.php?l=majors&id=4 The league does cost $30 to join and that covers your team fees, trophy fees and web hosting fees that are part of running a league like this. If you are interested in the league, please email Corky Williams at either [EMAIL PROTECTED] or [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thanks and I look forward to chatting with you in the future.
