If you can't find enough competitive players to have your own league, I'd suggest joining a league at CBS Sportsline. They have several levels of pay leagues and league winners get a cash prize. This tends to attract people who will pay attention and try to win. ESPN has some good competition as well, but the prize for winning your league is something like a t-shirt.
