Reading this article got me to wondering. Clearly the state
government can prevent state schools from belonging to the
NCAA.  However, I wonder whether they can make it stick to
private universities (Stanford and USC come to mind).  I'm
no lawyer, but this sounds to me like something that could
be legally challenged as infringing on a private
association's right of association. - Tony
