I think the TCU thing is mostly football-driven, although it would kill
their budgets in other sports.  Where would Fresno go?

There's apparently a good deal of discussion at the other UC and Cal State
schools to try and move up (which could be interesting, since CS-Hayward,
CS-Dominguez Hills, and CSLA could all be competitive fairly quickly).  This
has the potential to iron out a lot of the RPI's inherent problems.

There's also the indeterminate state of the United States Baseball 
Conference (http://www.theuscaa.com/usbc/usbc.htm), which I notice is
now listing Northern Colorado as a member.
