If you're talking NYC, the best nearby place is Belleayre...if it stays 
cold and they can make snow. It's closer to NYC than Hunter and not the 
zoo that Hunter is.  Plattekill would be even better, but since they 
rely mostly on natural snow, 12/12 is too early for Plattekill.
