I don't think you'll find this easy by public transport. Not 100%
sure, but I think you'll need two changes, one in Moutiers and another
in Bourge. The middle bit could be done by train or bus, but the
latter are very infrequent, IIRC. 

So you're probably looking at 3-4 hours absolute minimum, so not
really doable for a day's skiing. La Plagne would be similar, while
les Arcs might be slightly better in that you can get the funicular
directly up to Arc 1600 from Bourge (train station, right next to the
bus station), although I still think you'd need two buses to get
there.
