I don't think you'll find this easy by public transport. Not 100% sure, but I think you'll need two changes, one in Moutiers and another in Bourge. The middle bit could be done by train or bus, but the latter are very infrequent, IIRC. So you're probably looking at 3-4 hours absolute minimum, so not really doable for a day's skiing.
