A couple of years ago I went nordic skiing for the first time loved it and now go every opportunity. The first pair of touring skis I bought were fine, but when my son wanted to start going with me this year, I gave my skis to him and purchased another pair for myself. Both sets are waxless. Problem is that with this new set I don't get the grip on the snow with the new skis. The pattern, size and type of ridges in the kick area (not sure the right term to use) are different. The camber (again not sure the right word) on the new skis is softer (easier to sqeeze together). They are significantly narrower that the first set. I was wondering about trying to apply some of the "kick wax"?? that people use on the waxed type ski's. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions advise on this topic??
