The end of September (Halloweekends) is a great time to visit CP. Crowds are
lighter over the weekends (especially Friday), since the park is only open
weekends. 

I am a big fan of staying on site, since CP offers great packages (parking,
lodging, and admission into the park). 

The rock and roll hall of fame is located in Cleveland, and SFWoA is between
Cleveland and CP.

If you have never been to the Point, you may want to take 2 full days at the
park - one ride on MF, TTD, Raptor, Mantis, and Magnum may not be enough. For
me, my 5 rides on TTD last year were definitly not enough (it is quite an
experience).
