Can you cite an example of a radio telephone talkshow that had bumper
music prior to Rush Limbaugh?

The only example of anything approaching bumper music I can think of
was the announcements at the end of the spot clusters on Larry King's
Mutual radio program. "To phone the Larry King show, call 703..." I
don't recall if these had music in them or not. If any, it was
perhaps his theme song, and these announcements were only used at the
end of a spot cluster that included local inserts, not all spot
clusters.
