I guess then every other ham that has opened the transmit on their
tranceiver to get additional ham bands, MARS/CAP, etc., has "converted
their...rig to CB" if in the course of the modification it does
theoretically allow transmission on the CB band.  following that
logic, there's a lot of $5000 Icom, Yaesu, and Kenwood HF rigs out
there that have been converted to CB's.  I respectfully disagree that
by adding 12 meters to this radio it shows I "don't understand the FCC
regs."  I would submit that it is YOU who doesn't understand the FCC
regs.  Well, I see that trying to get any sense through to the "radio
police" is a hopeless cause.  No matter, I've sold the damn thing. 
Now, on to opening up my new 706 for 5 MHZ......
