Re: Very strong aurora tonight (20th Nov)

A very strong magnetic storm is in progress today (20 Nov), causing intense auroras over the UK. But (as usual) is chucking it down with rain. See it live instead on the Radio Reflection Detection page:
http://www.tvcomm.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/G7IZU_Radio_Pages/Radio/
It kicked off as a radio aurora around 1600 utc, but its ongoing.
Free of charge, no ads, no hassle. Thinking about it, maybe I should start putting ads on the site.... mmmm.

I first noticed it when signals on 40 metres went auroral at about
1700 gmt. Put Speclab on 48.250 MHz and had to turn the gain down
the signals were massive. Seems to have tailed off a bit at about
2130 gmt. Still quite a few pings about at the moment.
