Tried check some noise generator descriptions, although I plan to use
e-b junction of MPS918 and found this good 25 years ago, but I
couldn't find any indication of the RF output level from different
types of sources. 
Some noise bridge sources may have an amplifier because - to adjust to
null you need at least 40dB more signal than heard into the RX at zero

My purpose is checking selectivity to compare different boatanchor
receivers in different modes, and I need at least 1mV, so an MSA0304
or two  doesn't seem to give sufficient gain...
