Corkscrew Antenna

I just got the Xmas Radio Shack catalog and on page 3  there's an electric
corkscrew powered by 4 AA batteries.  I havent seen one yet but I wonder if
it could be the basis of a "Corkscrew Antenna" to compete with the
screwdriver antenna?
