You'll probably have to re-polish the cases after this, but if the primers are swaged in tightly enough (or if they're part of the cartridge), then heating until the primer fires will work. If the primer isn't swaged tightly in the cartridge, it will blow itself out of the hole when it fires. Mike? Would a solvent de-bond the primer layer? I doubt if engine heat would ever cause a primer to fire. Exhaust heat would, but I think not 'normal' engine heat.
