People vs white

Hi All
Many thanks for the help with previous requests. Can anyone give me tips on
photography people and dogs against a white background? I have a client who
wants images of his children taken from above, looking down on them against
a solid white background.
I'm using a Fuji S304 digital for this project, armed with PSP for fine
tuning...
I need advice on how to achieve a solid white colour and lighting please.
