photo books; boys faces

I'm interested in photos of boys' faces. When I do a google search, all
I get are links to porno sites. My interest, as a just starting out 
photographer, is in portraiture; lighting, shading, the essence of a 
face. Is it true, that there are no books or source material on this?
Has there ever been a photographic essay of boys'faces, or the best
way to capture the spirit of that face?
