Re: Best Medium Format under $1000

If you want to try MF photography for cheap do the following: Search eBay
for Flexaret camera (III, IV, VI, VII). These are about $40.00 cameras with
an excellent reputation!!! I use mine (Flexaret IV is best) for about 20
years and it will do what Mamiya will do as well. The shop in Prague is a
Professional photo shop and they wouldn't sell you a bad camera. You can
always trust them. Flexaret is an older after the worl war II technology,
but it is very precise equipment with prontor shutter! The German wated to
purchase this factory long time ago. Ten times better that some Kiev,
Heartblai, Holga or other brands.

I was in Prague this spring and they had about 28 of them on the shelve. I
should've got another one. I recommend this to anyone that would like to
play with medium format camera and get professional results! You will need a
tripod and light meter. It is manual camera but awsome workhorse.

Michael.
