Re: image transmission



Nothing special is needed , it's done millions of times a day..click any
link on my website..you just sent an image from the US to the UK to your
computer.

Basically to send or receive files you need a  computer and a fairly fast
internet connection , cable, DSL, or LAN, though even dial up only takes a
few minutes for the size of image I suspect would be useful for a
newspaper).

You also need a good digital camera ( look at Canon and Nikon digital SLRs
if this is a professional endeavor)  to take the picture and output it as a
file into the computer. An alternative would be to take the image on film,
then use a scanner to convert it to digital and then proceed the same way.
