While away for Thanksgiving I stopped into the NCSU library and took in the photo show they are having , the "prints" were some sort of paper (diffinately not silver) mounted on board about 24x30. The thing that struck me however was the majority of work prior to 1950 was done with 4x5 Speed Graphic (which makes sense I guess) cameras after 1950 were 35mm all the way, for the most part. And of course alot more color as the years progressed.
