Image Shot With 11x14" *Digital* Format

Not all at once, but it has now been achieved by Max Lyons:

Lens used was 280mm EFL, with a 63 degree horizontal field of view.
To achieve a similar field of view with a 280mm lens in a single shot
you would need to use 11x14" format. However, in my experience the
detail density with 11x14 film photography is much lower than with the
D60 camera used to take this stitched mosaic. I suspect that no
camera in existence is capable of capturing this much image quality in
a single shot.
