Peter, Thanks again for the help. I'm in the UK, so I've been going through the database on the BAPLA site to get a few contact numbers together. I see that really you do need to have a large number of photographs from around the world - much of my earlier travel photography wasn't aimed at creating stock pictures so I have a fairly small back-catalogue to draw from. Still, I do now have a few pointers to work towards. To be honest it'll be a bit of a test for me to really find out if I can get good enough pictures. Another option is the Pentax fisheye zoom, > which would give you extra flexibility. > Hmm.. hadn't thought about earlier screw-mount Pentax fisheyes... in fact I've never seen one. So I did a quick check around. There's a 17mm 1:4 Takumar on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2967424657&category=4688 Is this the lens you were thinking of? It's got a starting price of £498.99!! Jessops classics (who are obviously a little overpriced but give a rough guide to 'camera shop' market price) have an f11 18mm Takumar for £199. So, whilst I think most M42 mount stuff hasn't held it's value, those fisheyes still do! The Zenitar still looks like the best option, only I would be pressed for time to properly evaluate it's quality before leaving. Chris.
